Between 2003 and 2012, Medence Csoport designed, organized, and executed the Octopus Interdisciplinary Venue, serving as the home for literary, fine and applied arts, and classical music programs at the Sziget Festival.
The central element of the venue was the OCTOPUS Grand Pavilion, an octagonal, bamboo-framed tent with a capacity of 200 people, which provided a home for various art forms.
Surrounding the Grand Pavilion were three smaller, 30 sq m square tents. Also connected to the venue the Labyrinth installation, another octagonal, bamboo structure.
In addition to talented art students and young art groups, leading Hungarian art institutions were also featured. From 2008, the venue expanded to include the Museum Quarter, with the participation of the Museum of Fine Arts, Modem, Ludwig Museum, Museum of Applied Arts, Aquincum Museum, Skanzen Open-Air Museum, Transport Museum, Hungarian National Museum of Technology, Hungarian National Gallery, and the Hungarian National Museum.
